Unzip My Love…
As I unzip the daytime sky to reveal the stars I search,
I rest on rope from the moon like a bird on her perch,
I try to catch the diamonds that fall from the sky,
But,
I can't see, I've blurred vision from the tears I cry.
Droplets of rain cascade, I pretend that you're crying too,
What I pray for, is for somebody to love and bear my truths,
The clouds part as thunder masks my aching need to feel,
I smell purity in the air, cleanse my soul, as my heart begins to beat.
I start to swing,
I feel my wings,
For what he brings,
Lovebirds still sing…
My angel swoops in beneath my body, takes me to a place where love is real,
A land of beauty to the naked eye and butterflies on first dates aren't a dream,
I sleep, listening to a beating heart that puts my soul to rest,
To all the heartaches and controlled, this has made me forget.
I'm rich beyond wildest pleasure,
The diamonds will fall forever,
I can see them now, but life is better,
Life with love instead of sadness,
Life with love? zip up my darkness...
