I’M Not Alone…

Sometimes I accept silence,

Other times, I write,

Allowing my creations to be around,

Therefore I'm not alone...

I'm in a story,

I'm in a fairy tale,

Character's, light the way,

Like fireflies on my page,

Sometimes I accept the dark,

Other times, the light,

Allowing me to see the nature I found,

Therefore I'm not alone...

I'm in an adventure,

I'm in a different world,

A world where I can't hear mammy screaming,

A world where I can't hear daddy breathing,

A world where I don't get to see the horrible beatings,

A world where I don't get to see mammy bleeding,

Sometimes daddy stares at me,

Other times I wish to be free,

Free to dream,

Free to live,

Sometimes I see mammy smile, but with a tear trickling down,

I know this is not a happy tear,

She's sad because she knows I'm safe,

I know in mammies arms I've no fear,

She keeps me away from his nasty face,

She tells me to go, to my happy place,

A place where I'm not alone,

A place where fireflies glow,

A place where some don't know,

Here, is my secret escape,

Here, I go inside the page,

It maybe dark out here,

But for daddy to come home, it's never too late,

I just wish, while I'm here, my mammy won't break,

So I close my eyes,

"Character's, light the way,

Like fireflies on my page"
