A Winters War…

Light a candle

Say a prayer,

Let it melt

Hear the train,

White smoke

Dances to their death,

Whistle no name

Jews, lose their breath,

Not deemed a patriotic fighter,

Instead,

A bruised finger on a communist typewriter,

Places to hide in black and white,

A Jewish life, can still be right,

Within an ivory key

They're crystal clear,

I can almost hear the notes of tragedy!

Sergeant's stamped their own damn fear,

Shameful gun, hot to touch,

Innocent souls bled too much!

Blood seeped through frost bitten ice,

As the white turned to red…

“Kill another!” The officer said,

Poland was for history and sacrifice,

The nazi invasion was for poison and human life,

This barbaric behaviour should not be tolerated,

Within a movement, from others, Hitler was hated!
