Offline!
Wrap that smart watch around my wrist,
Stick the electricity chord in and make a fist,
Addicted to the junk food I've allowed my sensors to inflict
Screen after screen, we're being murdered by the rich.
I'm looking for human kind,
All I see is faces online,
The killer is a hand-held device,
Go offline, that's my only advice.
A problem child?
Give them screen time,
A young suicide?
Give a like or fake smile,
A false reality is favoured by the blind masses,
No wonder there's more divide in social classes.
T.V on,
Phone out!
Music on,
Phone out!
A sensory overload at an instant,
Conversations are getting more distant,
It's an electronic movement,
A polluted environment,
An invisible statement!
A human condition investment!
I'm looking for human kind,
All I see is faces online,
The killer is a hand-held device,
Go offline, that's my only advice.
Distortion in realism,
Disbelief in humanism,
For the greater good can people stop thinking about greed or profit,
When will the time come for emotions to connect and we just stop it?
Time after time these words are stuck on repeat,
Unfortunately they lay on deaf ears and you just delete.
Would the human race benefit from a blackout and start again?
Wires to our brain in a new technology age?
Are we already pieces in humanities game?
Will we end up living in an app?
Being reviewed with a thumbs up or smile,
Time to change is in our grasp,
My only advice...
There is a time and place to stay offline.
