My Emergency Buzzer…
I clench you with all of my hope,
I look for you in times of despair,
In these walls I can feel that I'm alone,
But I know, you're here because people care.
My Emergency buzzer, you're more important than you know,
If I fall when I stretch, you keep me from being a ghost,
I press and press, I fear that you might not come;
But then I see your face, calculating how this was done,
I see your worry too,
I see your caring eyes, thinking I hope she's ok,
Even though it's me needing help, I still think I'm being a pain.
I sit looking at you on my wall, wondering, in an emergency will I ever call,
I have faith in that, if the time comes, carer's come running, in no time at all,
If I'm in here to spend the rest of my days, Washington Manor, I now call my place,
Throughout the night, during the day, I'm greeted with love and care I'm proud to say.
The reason is, if I didn't have my buzzer, I'd feel unsafe,
I'd feel lost,
Feel like nobody was around,
But that's not the case,
I'm one of many in here, there's a caring face around every corner,
I'm so glad in this room I have you,
My hope,
My faith,
My health,
My Emergency buzzer.
So,
I clench you with all of my hope,
I look for you in times of despair,
In these walls I can feel that I'm alone,
But I know you're here,
Because people care,
My Emergency buzzer,
I know you're there…
