A Kiss to Authority…

To protect and to serve,

Let this poem touch a nerve!

Two uniformed men, kiss, show and tell,

And...?

So what...?

Should they not love the same?

What feelings does this image create?

Of all that goes on in the world, have we not learned that love is love?

Media?

Condemned?

Why so serious?

When do we get to enjoy it?

Life, that is...

When do we acknowledge and accept it?

Freedom, that is...

We can all like, share or retweet quote of the day,

But still, images like this enrage, and create hate,

Why?

Are people ashamed of their own insecurities?

Are people still confused about gender equality?

Law's don't get passed,

Generational ego's still last,

For authority figures to kiss,

I take off my hat!

If people who are good people, identify them as good people,

If education is what's needed, then so be it, everyone deserves freedom!

A uniformed kiss?

Two men kissing?

Policeman kiss?

NO!!

A lover's kiss,

Accept,

Educate,

Let's not procrastinate,

Life is life,

We say at will...

Live it!

You never know when's your last day,

Problem is...

People look,

People judge,

People hate,

STOP!!

So I say it again...
