Tangerine Sky…
Citrus burst,
The sky cries with tears of sorrow,
Drenching the people of hurt,
Believing their power is hollow,
Clouds cover their souls,
Suppression to the holy ghost,
Church doors bolted closed,
Blinded by the Jesus christ pose,
Peel me,
Peel the flesh from my life, uncover the fruits that society devours,
Taste the rain like it's my love,
Shower bodies that dream,
Shower me with the fruits of my labour,
Soak me,
Soak the pavements that believe you're our saviour,
I need my tastebuds tickled by the tangerine sky,
I need not to hope and pray, I need this time to be mine,
Now, let the clouds open to a delicate humanity,
Spray your succulent flavours, so I taste a new reality,
Behind my hazy eyes, I am learning, I have awoken to a brand new dawn,
We work, we forage through society, I'm walking the streets feeling reborn,
The bread and wine,
A tangerine sky,
It's Sunday morning, I'm questioning why,
As the white angelic blanket laid on the ground,
Snowflake's from the angels tell me, that I've been found,
I hear a flutter from their wings,
Words echo from pillar to pillar, speaking the words of sorrow,
But I'm sheltered by the shadows of what will set me free...
